Over on our Twitter feed (@crewsproject) we’re posting an inscription advent calendar – which we hope you will enjoy as a nice way of finding out about some of the exciting texts that we come across in our research. There will be a post a day up to 24th December.
So far there have just been three posts – the Dipylon oenochoe (early Greek alphabet), the tombstone of Regina from Hadrian’s Wall (Latin and Palmyrene) and the Karatepe bilingual (Phoenician and Hieroglyphic Luwian).
You can follow these posts by finding us on Twitter each day (you don’t have to be a Twitter user to see them) – the hashtag we’re using is #inscriptionadventcalendar if you want to see a list of all the posts.
If you are more likely to visit the blog than Twitter, you can still find the posts because our Twitter feed appears down the right-hand side of the blog (just scroll down until you see it).
We hope you enjoy the inscriptions!
Edited to add: And let me just give a shout-out to Team Cuneiform – @cooleiform on Twitter – who are doing a cuneiform advent calendar. Check out their Twitter feed for more!
